Who are Haze?
Haze is a manufacturer specializing in engineering maintenance-free sealed lead acid and gel batteries. Founded 30 years ago by two English brothers, the company merges Western technology with Eastern work ethics. It provides a comprehensive selection of VRLA batteries, available in 2, 4, 6, and 12-volt options, featuring AGM and Gel electrolyte configurations.

There are five main product lines, all with a 12-month warranty:
HZB: 12 year design life for Standby and Telecom in both Monobloc and Front Terminal.
HZB-EV: High capacity AGM battery for deep cycle Electric Vehicle.
HZY-EV: Highly resistant GEL battery for deep cycle use with Solar, Leisure & EV.
HZS: High capacity 5 year design life for Standby and Cyclic applications.
HSC: Standard 5 year design life for security and emergency lighting.
AGM and GEL Batteries
AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) and TRUE GEL (Electrolyte) are well-known batteries HAZE produces. These batteries feature an absorbent glass mat on the plates that retain the electrolyte. This design allows the battery to maintain its charge more effectively, minimizes the risk of sulfation, and enables a deeper depth of discharge.
In contrast, a GEL battery contains the electrolyte in a gel form. This gel suspension provides the battery with a longer lifespan and enhances its resistance to temperature variations.
Both battery types are ideal for electric vehicles and any deep-cycle applications. Like all batteries, they thrive on regular cycling and should be fully charged after each use.
THE EXTRA FACTOR
One of our most popular and exclusive ranges of batteries is the Extra capacity AGM battery (EX).
These batteries were developed to meet the demand for electric scooters in provenance where the batteries are made. The scooters needed more power but had no physical room for a larger battery. The EX battery provides up to 40% more power without compromising size. The power is achieved by using thinner lead plates, providing more space for more lead, which provides more surfaces for the chemical reaction inside the battery—optimising battery box space and producing greater power.
